Privacy Policy
Who we are and what this policy covers
Effective date: 10/26/2026
Go Mohican, LLC, an Ohio limited liability company, operates GoMohican.com (Go Mohican, we, us). This Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal information through our travel guide, property listings, maps and related communications. It does not govern independent businesses or booking platforms linked from the site. Contact us about privacy at info@gomohican.com.
Information you provide
If you contact us, we receive the contact details and message content you send, along with any attachments. Site searches can include the words you enter; please do not enter sensitive personal information in a search field.
Information from website requests
When your browser requests a page or resource, the server or service providing it receives technical information such as your IP address, browser or device information, requested address, time of request and, depending on browser settings, referring page. Hosting and security services use request information to deliver pages and protect the site.
Hosting cookies and website functions
The site is hosted on WP Engine. During review of the staging site, its delivery service set the Cloudflare __cf_bm cookie, associated with bot management. Production-domain cookies may differ. Where WordPress login functions are used, authentication and session cookies support those functions. Browser settings let you block or delete cookies, although some functions may stop working.
Images fonts and maps from other services
Some property photographs are loaded from Vrbo-hosted servers. The current site also includes Google’s web-font loading service and map code configured to use external map resources, including OpenStreetMap tiles. When these resources load, the relevant provider receives browser request information such as IP address and browser details. This can happen while you view our site, before you click a booking link. Those providers handle information under their own privacy policies.
Affiliate links and booking platforms
Go Mohican includes affiliate links to Vrbo and may earn a commission on qualifying bookings, at no extra cost to you. Go Mohican does not accept reservations or payments through this website; bookings and payments are completed on the provider’s or booking platform’s website. When you use an affiliate link, the booking platform or affiliate service may use identifiers, cookies or similar tools to recognize the referral and attribute a booking. Information you provide to a booking platform is handled under that platform’s terms and privacy policy.
How information is used and shared
We use information supplied in an inquiry to respond and address the request. Website request information supports content delivery, troubleshooting and security. Affiliate information supports referral attribution and commission administration.
Service providers supporting hosting, security and site operation process information as needed for those functions. Other disclosures may be necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process or protect rights and safety. A business reorganization may involve transfer of relevant records, subject to applicable law and appropriate notice. Identify actual email, support, analytics, advertising, newsletter, payment and other processors and their purposes. Specify any additional sharing, disclosures for targeted advertising, or practices legally classified as sale or sharing. Do not publish an unsupported statement that information is never sold or shared.]
Analytics advertising and tracking signals
Analytics, advertising pixels, remarketing, cross-site tracking or session recording are active specifically Google Analytics & Meta Tracking.
Your choices and privacy requests
You can manage cookies through your browser. For information you supply directly to an independent business or booking platform, contact that provider about its practices.
Depending on applicable law and our activities, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, obtain a copy, or opt out of certain uses or disclosures. Contact info@gomohican.com to make a request. We may need information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and authority. We will respond as required by applicable law.
Security and international processing
No internet transmission or storage method is completely secure. Avoid sending sensitive information through general inquiries.
Children
Go Mohican is a general-audience travel-planning website intended for adults. It is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact info@gomohican.com so we can review and address it as required by applicable law. Verify the site’s actual content, collection and knowledge before relying on this language.
Policy changes and contact
We will update this policy when our practices change and revise the effective date above. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before a change takes effect. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to info@gomohican.com.
